One hundred years flicker; I kiss the Snow was seeded in the death of SOPHIE, a legendary queer musical artist. The performance existed in two parts: a live performance representing a cycle of birth and construction, and a video projection performance representing a cycle of death and deconstruction. The two simultaneously existed in the space, both exploring ecstasy and freedom from opposite paradigms of reaching those states. The two soloists went through individual journeys of discovering and rediscovering themselves through repetitive, gestural movement, eventually finding release and ecstasy through highly physical, energetic phrase work.
